The NISM portal states it plainly on the download screen: enter your PAN number (in uppercase) as the password to view your certificate. Not your portal login password, not your date of birth — your PAN, with every letter capitalised.
If that is all you came for, you are done. The rest of this page covers where to find the certificate, why the digital signature often shows as unverified, and what to do when the certificate has not appeared at all.
Almost always a capitalisation problem. The PAN must be entirely uppercase, with no space before or after it. Type it manually rather than pasting, since copied text often carries a trailing space.
This is a viewer problem, not a problem with your certificate. Browser PDF viewers cannot validate NISM's digital signature. Open the downloaded file in Adobe Acrobat Reader, then use the Signature Panel and Validate All Signatures. It will then show as digitally signed by NISM.
The certificate is issued a few working days after your result is processed, not instantly. Published figures for how many days differ between sources, so do not read too much into any particular number. If it is well past that and the status still shows Passed with no download, email [email protected] with your full name, PAN, exam name and exam date.
Use Forgot Password on the portal to reset it against your registered email address. If you registered but never activated the account, the same screen has Resend activation email — activation links expire, and an unactivated profile is a common reason sign-in fails even with the right password.
Three years from the date of the exam. After that you renew, either by sitting the exam again or through the CPE route where one exists for your series. The expiry date is printed on the certificate itself, so check it before you hand the file to an employer — a certificate with under six months left is not accepted for some ARN and EUIN applications. More detail on this in NISM certificate validity and renewal.
If you bought a BullWiser mock pack and then cleared the real exam, you can claim your ₹199 back to UPI once we verify the certificate you just downloaded.
See the reward conditions →Your PAN in uppercase. If it fails, check for stray spaces and make sure no letters are lowercase.
No. Your login password opens the portal; your PAN in uppercase opens the PDF.
No. NISM issues the certificate only as a digitally signed PDF. You can print your own copy, but the signed PDF is the authoritative version.
Use NISM's own verification facility on the certification portal, and open the PDF in Acrobat Reader so the digital signature validates. Both checks are on NISM's side, not a third party's.
No. BullWiser is a mock-test provider and is not affiliated with NISM. Only NISM can issue, reissue or verify your certificate.
