Deepak Jha — Founder of BullWiser
Commerce, Not Computer Science CA Articleship · Pune 11 Years a Teacher SIP Investor Since 2013

I taught commerce for 11 years.
I've never written a line of code.
I built BullWiser anyway.

I'm Deepak Jha. I'm not an engineer and I don't pretend to be one. I'm an accounts guy from Maharashtra who spent a decade explaining debits and credits to students — and got tired of watching honest investors get sold bad funds. This is the real story.

The Journey

Eighteen years around numbers. Zero around code.

2008 – 2011
CA Articleship — Pune
Three years inside real books of accounts. Audits, ledgers, tax files. This is where I learned that numbers don't lie — but the people presenting them sometimes do. That lesson became BullWiser's entire premise, fifteen years later.
2011 – 2022
Deepak Commerce Classes — 11 years of teaching
I ran my own coaching classes for over a decade. Accounts, commerce, finance — batch after batch, year after year. Teaching forces you to do one thing brutally well: take something complicated and make it click for someone who's seeing it for the first time. Every explanation on BullWiser — every score breakdown, every calculator, every NISM note — is that same classroom instinct, pointed at investors instead of students.
2013
First SIP — and the education the industry gave me
I started investing my own money while running the classes. Over the next decade I sat through a crash, a euphoric bull run, and the long boring stretch after it. I also saw, up close, how the industry actually works: recommendations that quietly favour whoever pays the distributor, regular plans sold to people who never hear the word "direct". As an accounts person, I could read what most investors couldn't — and it bothered me that they were never shown.
2022 – 2025
Accounts Manager — Navi Mumbai
I closed the classes and moved into a corporate accounts role at a private limited company. Steady work, real responsibility — and in the background, a growing conviction that the tool I wanted as an investor simply didn't exist. Nobody was going to build it for me.
2026 — Now
BullWiser Analytics Pvt. Ltd. — Maharashtra
So I built it myself — without knowing how to code. Company registered, platform live, growing every week. Fourteen thousand funds scored, four NISM exam series covered, and a scoring methodology that no fund house can buy its way into.

The Part People Don't Believe

I have never written a single line of code.

Not one. No computer science degree, no bootcamp, no weekend Python course. I'm from a commerce background, and until recently that would have meant this platform could never exist.

It exists because the tools changed. I build BullWiser by directing AI — the way a chartered accountant directs a junior: here's what I need, here's how the calculation must work, here's what's wrong with your draft, redo it. The AI writes the code. I decide what gets built, how the numbers must be treated, and what honest looks like.

What I bring

Eighteen years with financial numbers. An auditor's suspicion of every figure. A teacher's obsession with making things understandable. A decade of my own money in the market. The judgment about what a fund score should actually measure.

What AI brings

The code. Every page, every calculator, every chart on this site was written by AI under my direction — reviewed, tested and corrected against my numbers until it behaved exactly the way an accountant demands.

The uncomfortable truth of 2026: domain knowledge is now the scarce ingredient, not programming. I understand money. The machines handle the rest.

Why BullWiser Exists

The industry profits from confusion. I taught for a living — confusion is what I remove.

Ask about any mutual fund and you'll get five answers: one YouTuber says buy, another says exit, your distributor recommends whatever pays him best, and every ranking site scores the same fund differently. That confusion isn't an accident — it's profitable for almost everyone except you.

BullWiser is one place with one rule: the score is computed from data, explained in full, and nobody can pay to change it. No AMC money, no distributor commissions, no sponsored rankings. Direct plans over regular plans, always, because the math says so.

Non-Negotiables

Five lines I won't cross.

No paid rankings. No fund house, distributor or advertiser can buy a better score. Ever.
No guaranteed returns. Anyone promising you guaranteed returns on market-linked products is lying. I won't.
No selling your data. Your portfolio and watchlist are yours, not inventory.
Methodology in the open. Every score is explained. If you can't see how a number was reached, that's a bug — tell me.
Mistakes fixed in public. When a number is wrong, it gets corrected and acknowledged — the way an auditor would insist.

Bootstrapped So Far — Open to More

Every rupee in this so far is mine. The next chapter doesn't have to be solo.

BullWiser has been built with no VC money, no angels, no accelerator — one feature at a time, funded by my own savings and its own early revenue. That kept it honest while it found its shape.

I'm now open to conversations with investors who understand what this is: a trust-first financial platform for the next hundred million Indian investors — not a growth-at-any-cost app. If that's your kind of bet, or if you're a builder, researcher, writer or educator who wants in — my inbox is open and I read everything myself.

A teacher explains. An accountant verifies. An investor has skin in the game.
BullWiser is what happens when one person has spent years being all three.
